This will be the first in an ongoing series of global gatherings that inspire,
inform and involve increasingly large numbers of people in creating a world
that works for all! 11
Days will feature festivals, live
concerts and other gatherings linked together by broadcasts and webcasts.

Choose any of the 11 Days; for example Sept. 12th (Global Interdependence Day) or Sept. 21st (the U.N. Outreach/Promotion PartnerWe will list your organization on promotional materials, websites, in emailings, printed programs, and in other ways. In exchange, help promote 11 Days with your members in newsletters, email lists, websites, or any other ways you can. Send an email to 11days@WeTheWorld.org with "Outreach/Promotion" in the subject line.Performing ArtistResource PartnerWe are particularly interested in featuring performing artists who are actively promoting social, environmental and political awareness and involvement. We would be honored if you or an artist you are working with would like to perform during the 11 Days, especially on either September 12th (Global Interdependence Day), Sept. 20th or September 21st (International Day of Peace). Note: If you or your artist already has a booking during any part of the 11 Days (or possibly even leading up to it) you can still participate by making your performance one of the Associated Events. We welcome your participation (from a supporting role to a major partner) in the creation, production, funding or promotion of 11 Days of Global Unity. Take a major role and your organizationšs logo can be displayed on a banner during media coverage. Your organization will also be acknowledged during the events and included in promotional materials, websites, emailings, printed programs, with a link to your website, and other ways. Send an email to 11days@WeTheWorld.org with "Resource Partner" in the subject line indicating specific information about how you would like to be involved and we will contact you with more details.
The following individuals have agreed to consult in the development of the 11 Days of Global Unity:
Nanci Callahan - Founder and Executive Director of EcoFest, a unique cultural and educational environmental festival in New York City that has annually drawn between 15,000 and 25,000 people each year for 15 years.
Lili Fournier - Producer of the award winning Quest series of specials on PBS, which feature some of today's most influential thinkers on contemporary life issues. Her recent Women of Wisdom and Power trilogy featured Gloria Steinem, Shirley MacLaine, Jane Goodall, Alanis Morisette, Erica Jong, Gail Sheehy and many others. It won multiple awards for Best TV Program on Women's Issues and Social Issues. She also produced the By My Spirit concert, which concluded the Universal Spiritual gathering in Toledo Spain, featuring the Israel Philharmonic, Zubin Mehta, and Placido Domingo, in the presence of the Queen.
Susan Jameson (11 Days Coordinator) - Founder of Humanity In Concert; an organization which creates and promotes events celebrating a solution oriented humanity, Co- Founder of Transitioners, an international organization of spiritual activists, former Concert Director and Director of Public Relations for The National Music Foundation. Susan has had more than twenty years experience producing and promoting concerts, festivals and special events in New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Washington DC and the Berkshires. She was a principal organizer of the Student-UN Videoconference Series of We, The World, Building Peace and Sustainability in the 21st Century. Susan is also a pioneering force in the fields of energy, healing, spiritual development and conscious realtiy creation. A passionate metaphysician and mapmaker, she is dedicated to breaking new ground for a new humanity.
Rick Ulfik (11 Days Coordinator) - Founder and Director of We, The World, Co-Chair of the Foundation For Ethics and Meaning, Co-Producer of Visual Voices TV Show, Rick is one of the founding organizers of the United Nations Gandhi/King Season For Nonviolence the launch of which was endorsed by the Dalai Lama and Kofi Annan with participation by close to 2,000 people including Jesse Jackson, Arun Gandhi, over 500 organizations, and events taking place in 115 cities. He also was one of three principal organizers of Re-Imagining Politics and Society at the Millennium, a conference in May of 2000 which featured over 200 speakers from around the world including Wei Jingsheng, Cornel West, Michael Lerner, David Korten, Naomi Klein, Arianna Huffington, Mark Green, Patricia Ireland, Cora Weiss, and Marianne Williamson. Rick is also an accomplished composer and musician who has written, produced, arranged and performed music for the 3 TV Networks, feature films, commercials and major recording artists. He has been a member of hundreds of media production teams and has written, produced and directed two films.
Nina Lynn Meyerhof, Ed.D. - Founder and President of Children of the Earth, a UN-NGO recognized organization that gives focus to the potential of the United Nations and the voice of youth, Dr. Meyerhof has made a career of advocating for children locally and globally. For the past twenty years, Dr. Meyerhof has served as educational coordinator and consultant for many international youth conferences and programs in countries such as Japan,,Nepal, India, ,Ghana, South Africa, Brazil, Peru. Bolivia, Costa Rica, China Sweden, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, and all of Europe. Working closely with a representative of the United Nation's Department of Children and Armed Conflict and a spiritual leader and Chief of Aburi, Ghana, Dr. Meyerhof developed and conducted an International Youth Leadership Program in Ghana. The co-author of Conscious Education: The Bridge to Freedom, she is recognized as an innovative educator committed to global responsibility through authentic learning. She has initiated many global curriculums that further peace, ethics multi-cultural understanding, and democratic life skills for a sustainable world.
Troy James Lush (11 Days Coordinator) - Music producer, recording and performing artist, and songwriter, with 20 years experience in the music business in New York and Los Angeles. He is currently involved in the creation of a wholistic health and education center in San Francisco and resides in an intentional community in Marin County, California. Troy is passionate about using music, art, and celebration to facilitate local and global experiences of community, bringing awareness to planetary challenges and honoring solutions.
Nancy Hawthorne (11 Days Coordinator) - Activist and social networker with a background in the arts, dance, storytelling, mythology and education. Nancy received an M.A. in Philosophy, Cosmology and Conciousness at California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), a graduate school in San Francisco, CA. As Director of a non-profit organization, Dovetail Coalition, which focused on building ecologically, socially and economically sustainable communities, Nancy organized speakers' series, workshops and a conference. Nancy helped with the planning and promotion of PlaNetwork: Networking a Sustainable Future Conference, held in San Francisco in June of 2004. There she met Rick Ulfik and began to work with We, The World on the Student-UN Videoconference Series, Building Peace and Sustainability in the 21st Century in the capacity of Project Coordinator.
Gemma - Singer, Songwriter, Recording Artist, Coordinator of "We Rise" Million Voice Choir Tour and Broadcast
Michael Johnson - UN Representative for the NGO Pathways To Peace. He also serves on the United Nations Spiritual Caucus.Council. Michael is an advocate for peace and serves by inspiring people to take effective actions on a variety of peace, social and environmental issues through his writing, personal coaching, public speaking and organized community events.
Michael DiMartino - Founder & Director of Global Alliance for Intelligent Arts LLC an international alliance of producers, performing & visual artists and healers dedicated to human development. Michael has produced over 300 events ranging from small private functions to large international festivals for up to 15,000 people. He is the founder of the "Drums Around the World" (world wide drum for peace day) and in 1999 produced "Drumming in the New Millennium" in Egypt. He has also booked artists ranging from the Drepung Loseling Monks of Tibet to Jimmy Cliff & other international performers. In addition, he is an interfaith minister and musician who has participated in the Earth Summit in Brazil, the Parliament of World religions and the "Cry of the Earth" Conference at the United Nations.
Kathleen Sullivan - Research Director for We, The World.
She is an intercultural trainer working in New York City who has spent
over twenty years living overseas. She has worked as a writer/researcher
for many non-profits in Asia, Latin America and Europe.

In acknowledgment of the many existing documents and efforts that promote peace, sustainability, global interconnectedness, reverence for life and unity, we hereby offer the following Declaration of Interdependence as our guiding set of principles for moving forward into this new millennium. It is derived from the Earth Charter, the essential values of which have been culled from the many peoples of the Earth.
